Each participating school remains the owner and controller of the information stored within its AcaConnect database. AcaSoft Systems Ltd acts as the data processor for personal data processed through the AcaConnect platform on behalf of participating schools, except where AcaSoft Systems Ltd determines the purposes and means of processing for its own business operations or legal obligations. AcaConnect provides the technology platform used to securely manage and access that information. Requests to correct, update or remove student or parent information should be directed to the relevant school administrator.

Student, parent, staff and academic information is retained by each participating school in accordance with its own record management requirements. AcaConnect does not determine how long schools retain their data. Schools are responsible for managing their own records and archived academic years.
AcaConnect is intended for use by authorised schools, teachers, parents and students. Student information is provided and managed by the relevant school. Parents or legal guardians who have questions regarding student information should contact their child's school directly.
Depending on applicable laws and school policies, individuals may have the right to request access to, correction of or deletion of their personal information. As AcaConnect acts as the software platform, these requests should normally be directed to the relevant school, which remains the data owner.
